"The five senses requires you to pay attention to what is outside of you. Intuition requires the opposite - that you pay attention to what is happening inside of you."
"When you are angry, your emotions are like huge waves on Maui during a storm. You cannot hear your intuition."
"We are all made from the same holy stuff, like the clouds, the raindrops, the rivers, and the ocean. The "stuff" that we are made of is Life."
"Even if you can´t see that, you can still know it. That is using the higher form of reasoning."
"There is always something about everybody that you can find to bless. When you are looking for it, you will find it"
"When you see that everyone you meet and everything that happens to you brings you lessons that are important for you to learn, you become grateful for everyone and everything."
"Choices liberate and they imprison. They create illness and they create health. They shape your life."
"You choose your future moment by moment, decision by decision."
"Your intentions create everything that you experience."
"Sharing things that are important is like giving away tomatoes when you only have a few left- and you love tomatoes."
"Trying to change your intentions when you don't know what they are is like trying to go to New York when you don't know where you are starting from. Getting there and from Paris is another."
"Knowing something deep inside you is different from knowing something because other people tells you."
"People who have hurt a lot in their lives are often kind."
Den här boken köpte jag på bokrean i vintras och jag kände inte till författaren eller boken sedan tidigare. Men när jag började läsa så visade det sig att han varit med på Oprah flera gånger, så jag har troligtvis sett honom där. Hans tidigare bok The seat of souls har legat etta på New York times lista. Han tar upp händelser som har hänt och därefter så förklarar han lite om hur man kan lära sig utifrån den och hur man kan använda sig av sin intiution och det sjätte sinnet.
Första meningen i boken: "It was a gray winter afternoon."
